January 5, 2017

William Peace University is proud to announce it has been named to OnlineU.org‘s national list of “2017 Most Affordable Online Colleges for Criminal Justice.” The ranking represents institutions across the nation that are making efforts to provide economical options for students seeking online degrees in criminal justice. Due to exceptional affordability, WPU checks in at No. 16 on the list.

“We are thrilled to be recognized once again for our outstanding and affordable programs.”

WPU added Criminal Justice as a major to its adult and professional studies program in the summer of 2016. Students within the School of Professional Studies (SPS) are able to earn their degree completely online, or take classes at night or on Saturday. Within the Criminal Justice Program, students learn the skills to analyze, understand, and outwit the criminal mind, pursuing exciting careers in law enforcement and other areas.

This marks the third consecutive year WPU has been ranked by a national organization for its online academics and affordability. In both 2015 and 2016, WPU ranked among the best online colleges in North Carolina by Affordable Colleges Online. Also in 2016, the University was named one of the most affordable online colleges in North Carolina by OnlineColleges.net, and was ranked as one of  the best online schools in North Carolina by Accredited Schools Online.

“We are thrilled to be recognized once again for our outstanding and affordable programs,” said Dr. Brian C. Ralph, President of William Peace University. “Furthermore, the University is not just committed to providing an exceptional educational experience but creating opportunities for our graduates as evidenced by our 96% graduate school and/or job placement rate over the last three years.”

“Students enrolled in this program receive superior individualized learning experiences throughout their coursework and interactions with faculty.”

“Our online degree in criminal justice provides students with interactive and authentic learning experiences designed to develop knowledge and skills that can be directly applied to the field,” said Dr. Charlie Duncan, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “Courses are taught by faculty with expert knowledge and experiences in legal and military systems, including members of the judicial system.
